HBCU culture is built on history, tradition, community, and a kind of school pride that stays with you long after graduation. Now, Tote&Carry is bringing that spirit into a new collection of travel bags made for the students, alumni, families, and supporters who proudly represent their schools wherever they go.
Designed With Purpose
For the designer behind the collection, this project is personal. As a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, she grew up around UAPB and later performed as a Golden Girl with the Marching Musical Machine of the Mid-South. Her experience gave her a firsthand connection to the pride, community, and traditions that make HBCU culture so special.
“Designing this collection gave me the opportunity to create something for a community that has shaped so much of who I am; travel bags that students, alumni, family, and supporters can carry while proudly representing the schools they love.”
- Carnita Whimper
The collection brings that sense of representation into pieces designed for real life. Whether you’re packing for a weekend, heading back to campus, traveling for a game, or simply carrying a little piece of your school with you, these bags are made to go wherever you do.

Carry A Piece Of Home
There’s something special about seeing your school represented beyond the campus gates. The colors, the traditions, the memories, they travel with you.
With the HBCU football and marching band season underway, there’s no better time to introduce a collection created with that connection in mind. And for the designer, having her own alma mater, UAPB, represented makes the launch even more meaningful.
